Stitch Fix #1

My first Stitch Fix came in today.  I was so excited to see what I got!  I have to be honest--you can check online to see what they're sending you but it's only the name of the clothing item.  I had googled the items but they were different than what I found.  Next time I think I'll wait to be surprised (oh its so hard!)

I opened up the box and found this

Inside the envelope I found a cute little note to me along with cards that gave suggestions of how to style each piece.

I like that my stylist actually looked at my Pinterest to see what I like!

On to the clothes.

Fun2Fun Torrance Lace Detailed Sleeveless Blouse $38

My first impression was that it was cute but nothing special.

I put it on and it was too big.  The top was okay but the body area was too big.

Market and Spruce Corinna Striped Heathered Dolman Top  $48

My first impression was that it was cute!  I liked the colors and the material was soft.

After I put it on I remembered that I don't like three-quarter sleeves.  It wear short sleeves/tanks right up until winter when I start freezing and wear long sleeves.  Other than that, it fit well.

Chris & Carol Wilam Zig-Zag Print Top  $44

This is the top my stylist found on my Pinterest.  I was excited because it's Gator colors!

It was a little too big.  Not terrible and I could deal with it, but I could probably have fit into a small.

Bay to Baubles Gaia Layered Gem Necklace  $28

Pomelo Harriet Chevron Print Detail Dress  $64

I'll be honest.  When I saw the price when I was snooping, I had already decided to probably not keep it.  But when I hung it up, I fell in love with it.

And the necklace was adorable with it!  Only problem...I couldn't zip it up!!  Sigh.  Even if I lost the 10 pounds I want to, I still don't think it'd zip up.  So cute though!

Here's the breakdown of all the items.  If I kept everything, the total would be $151.50 after the styling fee I already paid and the 25% buy all discount.  Not bad for 5 pieces (each piece would average out to $30).

Did I keep anything??  Yup!  I kept the orange and blue zig-zag print top!  It's just too cute not to!

I was worried about getting my first Stitch Fix.  I was worried I wouldn't like anything but I really did!  I've decided to keep my subscription and can't wait to get my next Fix!

  1. I was curious how this turned out! I think it's really neat that the stylist went to so much trouble, including looking at your Pinterest. I love how that dress looks on you so it's really a bummer that it didn't fit! The top you did get is very cute though. Question: do they take off the $20 styling fee if you purchase anything, or just if you purchase everything?

    1. They take it off if you purchase anything so the dress was only $24!
