Disneyland Day 2

After the race we grabbed our snack boxes and headed back to the room to change.  I really like these snack boxes.  I think they're a great change from the standard bananas and bagels you normally get.

On the way back we saw some cute running pictures we had to take.

Back at the hotel room we showered and changed into the cute tanks we found on Etsy.  Suluh's says "I don't sweat, I sparkle", Cori's says "Keep calm and run Disney", and mine says "Forget the glass slippers. This princess wears running shoes."  We loved them!

We headed to breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen.  All-you-can-eat buffet after the race?  Yes please!

A huge group of people from Twitter, set up by Jen (Travel Girl on the Run), were eating together.  I knew about the plans, but we didn't initially sign up to be with them.  But when we were there waiting together, Jen was amazing and got it so that we could sit with them!  Such fun!  We sat with Ashley (The Pavement Princess) and her hubby Joe.  It was great seeing them again!

I scarfed down some yummy food!  Hash browns, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and eggs benedict (although it was a weird herby flavor).

And peanut butter and jelly pizza and several mickey waffles.

Somehow I forgot to take a picture of the desserts.  There was TONS!
We saw an older lady fall down the stairs right outside the window where we were sitting.  It was so sad.  The medics had to come and everything.  I really hope she is okay.

We also saw this group of girls totally rip off the Raw Threads shirts.  They had the same idea and font.  Not cool!!

We got some pictures with characters

I can't remember what we did right after brunch but later in the afternoon we met at the Disneyland Hotel for a Twitter meet up.  It was great to meet some people that I chat with on Twitter all the time!

Then we headed over to California Adventure for the girls' first trip in the park.

We rode Mickey's Fun Wheel, the swinging version.  I'm really surprised there aren't seatbelts or a height limit on this attraction.  There was a four year old girl with us along with her older sister and they weren't prepared for the first swing and she almost came off the bench!

We headed to Cars Land to ride Luigi's Flying Tires.
And of course we did single rider line for Radiator Springs.  The girls loved it too!

And we saw the Aladdin show.  I loved it!

Then we headed into the Sorcerer's Workshop because I had to take a picture of these paintings on the wall.  If I ever have a vow renewal at Disneyland, I want to have my reception here.  So pretty!

We went into the Beast's Library

We each took a turn to figure out which character we're most like (and apparently I can't line myself up in the mirror well!)

Then we headed over to the Mad Tea Party.  What a fun area!  I could have stayed there for a while listening to the fun band and drinking the fun drinks.  But we didn't have time.

We were starting to get hungry.  We were trying to find a place that would be good night-before-a-half-marathon place to eat.  We decided on Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta.  I had a pizza and side of mac & cheese.  It was okay but not my favorite.

Cori hadn't been feeling well all day and it was starting to get to her so she and Suluh headed back to the room. I couldn't waste any time so I decided to stay on my own.  I went over to Disneyland to watch Fantasmic.  Their version is awesome!  But I do have to say that I HATE how you have to stand around the lake for a loooong time before the show starts.  At least here we have seating!  (the pics are horrible..sorry!)

Then I headed to Main Street to watch the Fireworks.  I liked the music and it was fun to watch a new show!

Then I headed home.  By this time it was pretty late.  It was so nice to just be able to walk through Downtown Disney and right to the hotel!  I got my outfit ready for the Half Marathon the next day.

We had an 4:00 wake up call for the race so I got about 4 hours of sleep.  But I was excited!
