September Villains Weekend- Photoshoot Part 1

(this is going to be photo heavy so breaking it up into several parts)

Saturday morning we got up bright and early to get our hair and makeup done for our photoshoot.  We were having pictures taken by Regina from Regina Hyman Photography.  Regina is simply AMAZING!!!!  I first met her when I requested her to do my engagement pictures at Epcot.  We loved her so much that I then requested her for my wedding pictures and my Magic Kingdom Bridal Portrait pictures.  And then we were fortunate to have her from her own company (she branched out on her own!) for our 1 year anniversary pictures.  Not only are her pictures gorgeous but she's just a lovely person.  She is so much fun to be around and she makes the picture taking easy.  None of the guys even complained about doing this since she makes it so much fun.  If you're ever in the Orlando and need pictures taken for ANY reason, I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Anyways, Janet Mednick of Onsite Beauty came out to do some of our hair and makeup.  I chose to have both done since I'm inept at both!

We met at Beth's room at the DVC villas at Wildnerness Lodge. The boys ran and got us breakfast.  Bananas foster waffles-- I had been wanting to try them!

Then we were off for pictures!  I'm only going to post ones that Kory and I are in.  This is going to be picture heavy!!

We started off at the Contemporary.

Up next..jumping on the monorail....

Weekly Recap- October 28-November 2, 2013

I had my doctors appointment for my knee last Monday.  I was so afraid he was going to gloss over it, say it was either IT band syndrome or Runner's knee, and tell me to ice and rest.  But he didn't.  He told me I need to get an MRI.  He's thinking it's either a torn meniscus or bone bruise.  I asked him if I needed to stop running.  He told me that he's supposed to say yes but that he knows how runners are and that since I've been running through the pain, I might as well run until the diagnosis comes back that I can't.  He said this in a funny way.  So I have my MRI scheduled for tomorrow and the results appointment on Thursday.

So then it figures that after 6 weeks, the knee pain is going away.  I ran 4 miles on Tuesday with no knee pain until 3.25 miles, 7 miles on Thursday with no knee pain, and them 15 miles today with only slight knee pain starting at 9 miles.  So I was debating still going to get the MRI but I figure I probably should just to rule everything out.

Tuesday--4 miles in 45:02 (Mile 1: 10:36, Mile 2: 11:53, Mile 3: 11:42, Mile 4: 10:51, average pace: 11:16)

Sunday--15 miles in 2:48:42 (Mile 1: 10:26, Mile 2: 11:27, Mile 3: 11:24, Mile 4: 10:59, Mile 5: 11:15, Mile 6: 11:21, Mile 7: 11:33, Mile 8: 11:23, Mile 9: 11:20, Mile 10: 10:45, Mile 11: 11:08, Mile 12: 11:40, Mile 13: 11:30, Mile 14: 11:14, Mile 15: 11:17, average pace: 11:15)

September Villains Weekend- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  It's one of my favorite events of the year!  I'm a big kid!  I love dressing up and getting candy!  So when we talked about going, I was all for it!

And random--but check out these girls I saw on the way to the park.  They made their own costumes--jealous!

We started off the night eating at the Plaza Restaurant, which was still on my list of the few WDW restaurants I hadn't eaten at yet.

Then we headed off.  And we saw the Monsters Inc Dance party--too cute!

Instead of costumes, Beth had these adorable shirts made.  The girls had the princesses dressed up in their respective villains outfits.  And the boys had the pictures of the wild princes.

I didn't take too many pictures but we did several rides and candy stops.  We also tried some new eats.  I wanted to try the candy corn ice cream.  But they were out!!  Seriously Disney??  After the problem 2 weeks before with the popcorn I wanted, I was not on a roll with my food choices.  (It turned out to be okay though because we learned it was just vanilla ice cream with candy corn on top, not candy corn flavored ice cream like I thought.)  A couple of us got the pumpkin waffle at Sleepy Hallow.  I didn't because I didn't think it was served with vanilla ice cream, but it was!  I just sneaked some bites instead :)  It was really yummy!

Then we headed to the front of the castle to watch the castle show before the fireworks.

We also watched the parade (but missed the headless horseman this time around)

And of course we rode the Haunted Mansion!  There was actual a live character out front as entertainment.  Pretty neat to see!

Such a fun night!
